Every Last Drop, Right Down to the Bottle / Pepsi-Cola "INNER-TUBE"
A boy wearing an inner tube at the beach is drinking a Pepsi through a straw. He sucks and sucks, trying to get every last drop — and ends up getting pulled into the bottle himself, tube and all. His little sister turns and says, "Mom, he did it again." This 60-second spot aired during the Super Bowl in 1995, and it hits you with a "wait, what?" before you're already laughing.
The idea
What's actually happening is simple: a boy in a green inner tube is drinking a Pepsi, that's it. But he sucks so hard through the straw that he gets pulled right into the bottle along with his tube — a single, visual one-liner of a gag. It's funny before you even start wondering whether it's CGI or practical effects. The product sits right at the center of the frame, and the whole thing turns "you'll want to drink it to the very last drop" into a kind of physical comedy.
What happened
It reportedly scored the highest rating ever recorded at the time on USA Today's Ad Meter, making it the most memorable ad to viewers. It also won a Gold Lion in the Film category at Cannes Lions, ranking among the best-reviewed Super Bowl ads of 1995.
Afterthought
There's not a lot of information out there about this one, but you don't need it — the video says it all. I love ads like that. No explanation needed, just a "whoa" and then you want a Pepsi. That feels like enough. It's fun just imagining audiences in 1995 America going wild over something this silly and this great.
