The house confessed its own weakness / SUNCORP INSURANCE "HAVEN"
What would you do if your own house turned to you and said, "Actually, I'm not great with floods"? An insurance company came up with the idea of having the house itself speak.
The problem
In Australia, climate disasters like wildfires and floods are increasing year after year, and the risk to homes keeps rising. Even so, many homeowners were living without really knowing the specific weaknesses their own house had.
The insight
Telling people about risk through numbers and reports doesn't move them. But if the message comes in the voice of their own house, it becomes impossible to ignore. For an owner, a house is one of the most personal things there is, so when the house itself speaks, it carries a completely different kind of persuasive power.
The idea
Using AI and housing data, they analyzed the specific climate risks facing each individual home. Then they created videos and messages where the house speaks in the first person, saying things like "I'm vulnerable to this kind of disaster," and sent them to the homeowners. The core of the idea was making it not some abstract awareness campaign, but a confession from your own house, and no one else's.
What happened
The campaign won the Titanium Grand Prix at Cannes Lions 2026. It was also recognized in the Creative Data, Direct, and Brand Experience & Activation categories.
Afterthought
I never expected to feel emotionally attached to a house through an insurance ad. This one quietly proves how advertising is evolving from something that simply shows you things to something that actually talks to you.
